Policy Statement

1. Editorial and Peer Review Policy

KJIRSS operates a rigorous, objective, and timely double-blind peer-review process.

  • Reviewers: Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two external experts who are blinded to the authors' identities. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and disciplinary background, with preference given to those capable of assessing interdisciplinary contributions.
  • Decisions: Final decisions (accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject) are made by the Co-Chief Editors based on the reviewers' reports and the manuscript's adherence to the journal's empirical, theoretical, and interdisciplinary rigor standards.
  • Timeliness: The journal is committed to providing authors with an initial decision within a reasonable timeframe, typically 4–6 weeks from the date of submission.

2. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

KJIRSS adheres strictly to the guidelines and principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) .

  • Authorship: Authors must ensure that all individuals who have made significant scientific contributions are listed as authors, and that those who have not contributed are not included.
  • Originality and Plagiarism: All submitted manuscripts must be original work. The journal utilizes plagiarism detection software to screen submissions. Any submission found to contain substantial uncredited content will be immediately rejected, and the institution will be notified.
  • Data Integrity and Access: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with the paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed as influencing the results or interpretation of their manuscript.

3. Copyright and Licensing Policy

  • Copyright: The copyright of the articles published in KJIRSS remains with the Author(s).
  • Licensing (Open Access): KJIRSS publishes under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license . This license permits others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as the original work is properly credited and cited.
  • Author Rights: Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their work (pre-print, post-print, and publisher's PDF) in institutional or subject repositories without embargo.

4. Archiving Policy

KJIRSS utilizes recognized archival systems (such as LOCKSS or Portico) to ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content, guaranteeing that the scholarly record remains available to the academic community.
